NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Atlantic 10 Conference has named George Mason sophomore Josh Oduro A-10 Player of the Week. Saint Joseph’s freshman Jordan Hall was selected as the league’s Rookie of the Week. The awards, presented by Air Force Reserve, were announced Monday and are for games played Feb. 15-21.
Oduro put forth a monstrous career effort to lead Mason to a 79-76 overtime win at first-place VCU on Saturday. The sophomore poured in a personal-best 27 points on 8-of-11 shooting (.727) to go along with six rebounds (three offensive) in 30 minutes on the floor. The forward from Gainesville, Va., also made an important 11-of-14 attempts (.786) at the free throw line, including a number of them late in the game to help the Patriots secure the victory. With the Patriots trailing 67-65 with 48 seconds to play in regulation, Oduro converted the bucket which forced overtime. Then in the extra session, he scored five of Mason's 12 points, including two clutch free throws late to make it a two-possession game. In all, 20 of Oduro's 27 points came in the second half and overtime periods.
A guard/forward from Wildwood, N.J., Hall posted just the fourth triple-double in program history as he scored 22 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and handed out 10 assists in the Hawks' 91-82 overtime victory over La Salle on Saturday. Hall, who also tied the game in regulation on a goaltended shot attempt at the buzzer, set a new career-high for scoring on 7-15 shooting, including 4-9 from distance.

Kellan Grady finished the week averaging 21.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game while shooting 64 percent (16-for-25) from the floor and 52 percent (10-of-19) from behind the 3-point line for Davidson … Dayton’s Jalen Crutcher averaged 20.5 points, 5.5 assists and 5.0 rebounds in a 1-1 week for the Flyers, moving into the Flyer Top 20 in career scoring, and into second in assists … Zimi Nwokeji averaged 18.0 points and 7.5 rebounds, and shot .857 (12-14) from the field and .769 (10-of-13) at the line for the Flyers, scoring 29 in a double overtime loss to Rhode Island … Michael Hughes had a game-high 20 points to go along with nine rebounds, three assists, four steals and a block in Duquesne’s 79-72 loss at Richmond … Hughes’ freshman teammate Andre Harris came off the bench to score a career-high 10 points in 20 minutes at UR … Otis Frazier III tallied career bests in points (10), rebounds (6) and minutes (30) while helping George Mason secure a 79-76 triumph at first-place VCU on Saturday … James Bishop had a career high 28 points in a win against Rhode Island, coming on 9-of-14 (.643) from the field for George Washington … GW freshman Noel Brown set new career highs in points (8), rebounds (tied at 4), assists (3) and minutes (20) with zero turnovers in a win against the Rams … Freshman Jhamir Brickus was phenomenal in a pair of road games for the Explorers this week, averaging 19.5 points and 4.0 steals, 3.5 assists and 3.0 rebounds per contest … Fatts Russell averaged 17.0 points, 8.5 assists, 7.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game and was one rebound shy of a triple-double as Rhody went 1-1 on the week … Russell’s freshman teammate Ishmael Leggett averaged 17.0 points and 3.5 rebounds while shooting 60.0 from the field, including a career-high 18 points in a 91-89 overtime win over Dayton … Richmond’s Nathan Cayo totaled 31 points and 13 rebounds while shooting 52.6 percent from the field, committed just one turnover in 64 minutes last week … St Bonaventure’s Jaren Holmes posted a double-double of 19 points, 11 rebounds and played full 40 minutes in win over Davidson, shooting 7-of-12 from the floor including 5-of-7 from beyond the arc … Saint Joseph's Ryan Daly sparked the Hawks to a 91-82 overtime victory over La Salle on Saturday with a 30-point, seven-rebound and two-assist effort … Saint Louis’ Jordan Goodwin averaged a double-double last week of 11.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game, including a near a triple-double (16 points, 15 rebounds, eight assists) in the win against La Salle… Nah’Shon “Bones” Hyland averaged 18.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists in a 1-1 week for the Rams, recording his second career double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds in a win over crosstown rival Richmond...VCU teammate Ace Baldwin, Jr., averaged 11.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.5 steals and, 3.0 assists for VCU in a 1-1 week.
