ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis forward Simon Becher and defender Kipp Keller were named 2021 NCAA Division I All-Americans, the United Soccer Coaches announced today.

Becher was named a first-team All-American, while Keller landed on the second team. They become the 76th and 77th All-Americans in the storied history of the Billikens' men's soccer program.

Becher is the first Billiken since Robert Kristo in 2014 to be named a first-team All-American. The Billikens last had two All-Americans in the same season in 2002 when Jack Jewsbury and Jason Cole earned the honors.

The 2021 Atlantic 10 Conference Offensive Player of the Year, Becher led the Billikens and ranks second in the NCAA with 38 points (14G, 10A). He is the only player in the NCAA with 10+ goals and 10+ assists. Becher was named one of 15 Hermann Trophy semifinalists earlier this week.

Keller, the 2021 Atlantic 10 Conference Defensive Player of the Year, started every game on defense for the Billikens. SLU ranked 15th in the country in goals against average, yielding just .81 goals per contest. Additionally, opponents managed just 9.2 shots and 2.6 corner kicks per game. Keller also contributed offensively, scoring three goals (two game-winners) and adding an assist for seven points.

SLU went through the regular season without a loss for the first time in 50 years, earned a national seed in the NCAA Men's Soccer Championship and advanced to the NCAA quarterfinals for the first time since 2003. Saint Louis finished the season with a 16-1-4 record.
