NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- Rhode Island redshirt junior Patrick Agyemang was named Atlantic 10 Conference Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week while Massachusetts grarduate student Marvyn Dorchin clinched A-10 Defensive Player of the Week. St. Bonaventure freshman Matthew Wrobel earned recognition as the league's Rookie of the Week. The awards are for matches played Oct. 18-24.

Following a scoreless 0-0 draw to open the week at UMass, Agyemang opened the scoring for the Rams in their victory over La Salle with a goal in the 15th minute before later assisting on the eventual game-winning strike just minutes before halftime. On the week, the East Hartford, Conn., product finished with two total shots, one on goal, as Rhode Island earned four points via a tie with the Minutemen along with a 3-1 win over the Explorers. Agyemang previously won A-10 Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 20.

Dorchin, a goalkeeper hailing from Nice, France, compiled back-to-back shutout performances across a full 220 minutes between the pipes for the Minutemen, propelling UMass to a pair of draws against Rhode Island and Duquesne. Notably, the graduate student secured 15 saves across the week’s matches, including a season-best 10 versus the Dukes, en route to his first A-10 Defensive Player of the Week.

A forward out of Mississauga, Ontario, Wrobel picked up his fifth goal of the season at a key moment for the Bonnies early in the second period at Dayton, knocking home the eventual game-winner to elevate St. Bonaventure to an even split on the week. Overall, the freshman logged eight total shots, six on goal, with one score as the Bonnies were clipped at Duquesne before edging past the Flyers by a 2-1 mark.
