Dr. Rebecca Cook, University of Dayton
Education
- B.S. in Nutrition from Purdue University (Completed a Dietetics Internship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit), M.S. in Counseling from Indiana University at South Bend, Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from The University of Memphis (Completed a psychology internship at Purdue University).
Work experience- Worked for 10 years in an Eating Disorder Program at Memorial Hospital in South Bend (prior to receiving Ph.D.) Recently retired from the Counseling Center at the University of Dayton after 17 years of service. I served in an administrative role for the last 10 years at the Center, culminating in being the Director the last two years.
Sport psychology experience-. Work directly with the University of Dayton Women's Basketball Team as the team psychologist with this season being my 11th. Recently negotiated a part-time sport psychology position in the UD Athletic Department and will be able to continue to provide sport psychology/mental health awareness workshops for the University of Dayton's athletic teams as well as provide mental health and performance enhancement techniques and clinical services to individual athletes struggling with performance and personal issues. Participated on several Psyching Teams in Columbus and Dayton. Presented a three-hour conference on sport and performance psychology to the Dayton Area Psychological Association. Developed a disordered eating protocol for athletes. Consult with the athletic department medical staff and training staff on mental health issues. Counsel non-University of Dayton athletes in a private practice. 


Dr. Trisha Nash, George Washington University
Dr. Trisha Nash is a licensed psychologist in the District of Columbia, Virginia and Pennsylvania. Dr. Nash received her Bachelor of Science at Virginia Tech and pursued her Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology at Radford University. She went on to receive her doctorate in Counseling Psychology at the University of Memphis. During her education and internship years, Dr. Nash was trained as a generalist, but took special interest in psychological assessment and sport psychology. She completed her Post-doctoral experience with the University of Washington's athletics department and Seattle Children's Hospital, where she provided athletics counseling in addition to neuropsychological and LD/ADHD assessments. Dr. Nash's interests include assessment (e.g. LD/ADHD assessment, neuropsychological assessment); research (e.g. evaluation of services, needs of the population); sport psychology; issues related to coping with ADHD; LGBTQIA concerns; and mindfulness and it's utilization in various capacities.
