George Washington Men Predicted To Win Fourth Consecutive Swimming and Diving Title

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The George Washington men’s swimming and diving team has been selected as the favorite to win the Atlantic 10 Conference Men’s Swimming and Diving Championship for the third year in a row, according to a poll conducted by the league’s eight head coaches. The league announced the poll Thursday. 
George Washington received seven first-place votes and had a total of 63 points after winning their third consecutive A-10 Men’s Swimming and Diving title last season. Returning for the Colonials is the 2019 A-10 Men’s Most Outstanding Performer, Moritz Fath and 2019 A-10 Head Coach of the Year, Brian Thomas. 
George Mason, last year’s runner-up, was predicted to finish second in this year’s poll with one first-place vote and a total of 56 points. Returning for George Mason, is the 2019 A-10 Diving Coach of the Year, Zach Hawley. La Salle, with 41 points, was selected third. St. Bonaventure (40) and Massachusetts (32) finished fourth and fifth, respectively, followed by Davidson, Saint Louis, and Fordham. 
The 2020 Men’s Swimming and Diving Championship will be held February 19-22 at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
