AMHERST, Mass. – Third-seeded Massachusetts scored three times in less than six minutes en route to a 4-0 victory in the Atlantic 10 Women’s Soccer Championship quarterfinals, beating No. 6 Saint Joseph’s Sunday afternoon at Rudd Field.
 
The Minutewomen (10-5-3) will face No. 2 George Washington in Friday’s 4:00 pm CT/5:00 pm ET semifinal at Saint Louis’ Hermann Stadium.
 
Lauren Bonavita, who led the Minutewomen in shots with five, struck first for UMass, scoring in the 51^st minute off a pair of touches from Jenny Hipp and Ansley Frazier. Hipp and Frazier combined for two more assists each, spurring the second Massachusetts goal, scored by Ava Jouvenel in the 54^th minute and the third goal, this one by Sini Laaksonen in the 57^th minute.
 
The Minutewomen added a final goal in the 84^th minute, this one by Rebeca Frisk on a feed from Serena Ahmed.
 
UMass took 21 shots, nine of which were on goal, and seven corner kicks. Fordham (5-11-4) tallied eight total shots.
