NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – With the 2018-19 women’s college basketball season rapidly approaching, the Atlantic 10 Conference will begin its preseason coverage on Tuesday, October 23 with the unveiling of the Preseason Poll and All-Conference Teams.  Starting on Wednesday, the A-10 will spotlight two programs each weekday leading up to the start of the season. For the first time, the Atlantic 10 will take its traditional preseason media day event and expanded it into eight days of dedicated coverage of A-10 women’s hoops. Content will be available on Atlantic10.com as well as the A-10 social media channels including Twitter (@A10WBB), Facebook (/Atlantic10) and Instagram (@a10conference).

This year's preseason coverage features exclusive video interviews with all 14 A-10 women’s basketball coaches and select student-athletes from each conference program, as well as written content highlighting the upcoming season.

Preseason coverage tips off Tuesday, with the announcement of the preseason All-Atlantic 10 teams, as well as the preseason rankings, according to balloting by the conference coaches. The full schedule of preseason coverage is listed below.

 

The 2018-19 women’s basketball season tips off on Tuesday, Nov. 6., with conference play beginning on Saturday, Jan. 5. The 2019 Atlantic 10 Women’s Basketball Championship will be hosted by Duquesne University on March 8-10, 2019, with the first round being held Tuesday, March 5 on the campuses of higher seeds.
