Allison Foschia...Come On Down!

TELEVISION CITY, Calif. - Allison Foschia's named has been called in hundreds of arenas over the four years she played on the Duquesne volleyball team. However, instead of her being introduced as "6-1 middle hitter from Northfield Center, Ohio" to screaming fans, she was told to "Come on down!"

Foschia, who played from 2010-13 and led the Dukes to its first-ever Atlantic 10 Volleyball Championship and NCAA Championship appearance was recently featured on the iconic game show The Price is Right.

After being called down to Contestant's Row, Foschia bid $1 on an iPad and Nike Fuel Band. Her bid was the closest without going over the manufacture's retail price.

Next, she had to play Check-Out. In this game, Foschia had to guess the price of five grocery items within $2 of the retail price. She successfully did this and won a set of personal training equipment including a treadmill and a multi-gym.

Onto the Showcase Showdown, where she got to spin the Big Wheel. She totaled $0.85 which advanced her to the final Showcase. Foschia had to bid on a new car. Although her final bid was $11,000 under the MSRP, she was the winner taking home over $42,000 in prizes.

"I had such an awesome time on the show," said Foschia. "I met some really great people and Drew Carey was a really down to earth and nice guy. I mean how many people get to bid $1 and get on stage? And then go to the Showcase Showdown, it was truly a dream come true. I have watched the show since I was little and I still cannot believe it happened. I am so thankful and blessed."

Foschia finished her career second in Duquesne history with 1,247 kills and fifth with 1,376 digs. She was a seven-time Atlantic 10 Conference honoree.
