2015 Women's NSCAA Scholar All-America Teams
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - George Washington senior Brooke Stoller has been named to the 2015 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Scholar All-America Third Team, the organization announced on Thursday.
NSCAA Scholar All-America Team members must have at least a 3.30 career GPA, start more than half of all games and be a significant contributor to their team.
Stoller, a 2015 NSCAA Mid-Atlantic All-Region First Team selection and the Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Year, led the conference's top defense to a league-best 0.77 goals-against average with a program-record 12 shutouts in 2015. A First Team All-Atlantic 10 Conference defender, Stoller also chipped in a goal and three assists for a career-high five points. The Newton, Massachusetts, native logged more minutes than any other Colonial this season (1,691) and was also named an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Second-Team All-Star.
A finance major, Stoller owns a 3.33 GPA and has helped the Colonials receive NSCAA Team Academic Award recognition in each year of her career. Stoller is a five-time member of GW's Athletic Academic Dean's List and once landed on the A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll. The defender is the first Colonial to earn NSCAA Scholar All-America status since the program was initiated in 1997.
The senior helped GW to a historic season, posting an overall 15-5-5 mark to tie a program record for victories en route to the squad's first A-10 regular-season title since 1995.
