WASHINGTON – The Atlantic 10 Conference has announced its weekly honors in men’s soccer. The awards are for games played from October 19-25.
Offensive Player of the Week: Cooper Lijewski, (Sr., Hudson, Wis.), Dayton
Defensive Player of the Week: Brady McGlone, (Jr., Columbus, Ohio), Davidson
Rookie of the Week: Lucas McPartlin, (Fr., Wildwood, Mo.), Saint Louis
Cooper Lijewski powered the Dayton offense to a pair of victories last week, recording seven points across both matches. The senior forward tallied a goal and two assists in the Flyers’ thrilling 3-2 comeback victory over Rhode Island on Wednesday, including the game-winning assist. He continued his hot streak on Saturday, recording a goal and an assist as Dayton took down George Washington, 3-1.
Brady McGlone anchored the Wildcats’ backline to a dominant week, keeping two teams off the scoreboard. Davidson held Saint Joseph’s to three total shots, without a single shot on goal, on Saturday to earn a 2-0 win. Just a couple of days prior, McGlone scored the game-winning goal of a 1-0 result against Fordham, helping hold the Rams to just two shots on goal in the shutout effort.
Lucas McPartlin continued his strong freshman campaign with the Billikens, allowing one goal across two matches last week. After playing well in a 1-1 tie against North Florida, McPartlin recorded a clean sheet during Saint Louis’ 4-0 win over Loyola Chicago on Sunday.
